Today's Biggest Developments

  • Amid severe criticism, the CDC has stopped reporting the number of coronavirus tests its conducting on a daily basis. It's though only 75,000 tests are available nationwide.
  • Six people have died in Washington state.
  • Yesterday South Korea confirmed it now has over 5,000 cases while a dozen other countries reported their first cases.
  • Numerous reports indicate hospitals in the US have been charging as much as $3,000 per test. This is the opposite of how to control a pandemic.
  • Infectious diseases head Dr Anthony Fauci confirmed a vaccine is 12 - 18 months away.
  • Coronavirus doesn't affect dogs and cats.
  • 8% of Iran's parliament has tested positive for coronavirus.
  • An IOC official has confirmed the 2020 Tokyo Olympics may be postponed. UEFA says it's too early to speculate on Euros 2020.
  • British Prime Minister Boris Johnson continued to downplay the epidemic.
